Lauren Samuels is a collaborative biostatistician who is especially interested in the appropriate collection and analysis of data related to race/ethnicity, sex, and gender. Her collaborative research spans a wide range of content areas and study designs, primarily in the areas of health services research and health policy. She coordinates the department's working group on Ethical Responsibilities Regarding Race in Research, which is open to all; please contact her for more information. Dr. Samuels is a statistical reviewer for JAMA Network Open and teaches BIOS 6321, Clinical Trials and Experimental Design.
