Trainees and Postdoctoral Fellows

  • Leila Azinfar

    Postdoctoral Research Fellow
    Asiaee Lab

    PhD, Bioengineering, University of Missouri-Columbia

Research focus: applying statistical and machine learning methods to large-scale datasets of biological information; identifying causal relationships between regulatory molecules and specific biological processes to develop more targeted and effective treatments for a wide range of diseases and conditions

  • Ishaan Gadiyar

    Research Intern
    syBBURE Searle Program

Junior, Molecular and Cellular Biology, Vanderbilt University

    Mentor: Simon Vandekar

Gadiyar is utilizing biostatistical models to procure spatial-marker bivariate data and using this data to analyze niche cell-to-cell interactions within cancer data sets. He is also assisting with meta-analysis on the necessity of excitatory cues when performing rTMS treatment. He presented the poster "Evaluation of Spatial Statistics Methods in Multiplexed Immunoflorescence Images of Ovarian Cancer" at ENAR 2024.
